Project Type Residential

This early 1900’s local authority home, understood to have been built to house soldiers returning from the Boer War, has a rich history. Colourful past occupants only added to the dwellings intrigue. 155 House was in desperate repair at the end of the recent economic collapse in 2008. A catalogue of upgrades, overseen by Tea Lane Architects, has provided a warm habitable home, with its original features retained. A modern, low maintenance front, rear and side garden greatly improves the setting, offering much needed relief from the previously concreted surrounds. Phasing the renovations while the home has been occupied resulted in progression evolving with the home owners’ needs. The project continues with re-roofing, guttering and a general exterior refurbishment in the pipe line.

Commenced 2020, with works ongoing.
