Hotwell House, Meath

Project Type Residential

Hotwell House likely started out life between the covers of the 1970’s sensation Bungalow Bliss. It was plonked in Co. Meath, with faux entry columns, windowless hallways and no consideration to setting, orientation or the surrounding environment. The project was restricted to working within the existing shell of the dwelling. Despite these limitations, Hotwell House has been reimagined. Central to the design concept has been teasing out new vistas to the exceptional setting, whilst drawing in light and lifting ceilings to give an open feel – far removed from the house's rabbit warren origins.
